About sharing projects

Are you ready to share your project(s) publicly? If so, let's do it 🚀

In this guide, you'll find all information and instructions on the best practices for sharing your interactive project by using the most popular methods, such as generating a shareable URL and embedding the project to your site or social media platform 🌟

We'll also learn how to update your project's share settings!

Generating a shareable link

Creating a shareable link is a great idea if you want the project to be accessible to anyone on the internet (otherwise, it can be accessed only by teammates invited to your organization) 👏

To generate the link in question, proceed as follows:

1) Open the interactive project that you want to share and click ‘Share' on the upper right-hand side of your screen:

2) Click 'Publish', as you'll need to publish your project before you can make a shareable link:

3) Click 'Publish project':

4) Click 'Copy link' and distribute/use the URL according to your needs:

Sharing a project on social media

1) To share your project on social media (Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn) open the interactive project that you want to share, and on the upper right-hand side of your screen, click ‘Share':

2) Click 'Publish', as you'll need to publish your project before you can share it on social media:

3) Click 'Publish project':

4) Click on the social media platform that you'd like to share your interactive project on:

Embedding a project

1) Open the interactive project that you want to embed and click ‘Share' on the upper right-hand side of your screen:

2) Click 'Publish', as you'll need to publish your project before you can embed it:

3) Click 'Publish project':

Inviting your teammates to comment and collaborate on your design

Uizard fully supports multi-user prototyping sessions, so you can collaborate with your team members in live sessions! You can invite your team members to join your project by following the instructions provided below:

1) Open the interactive project that you want to share and click ‘Share' on the upper right-hand side of your screen:

2) Enter your teammate's email and hit enter:

3) Choose the invited team members' roles. 'Creators' are able to edit your project, while 'Viewers' only have viewing and commenting permissions:

4) Click the 'Invite members' button:

Sharing a direct screen link

If you've already invited someone to collaborate on your project, you can share a specific screen in your project that you'd like someone to take a look at.

Here's how:

1) Open the project that you'd like to share a specific screen of.

2) Click the title above the screen you'd like to share:

3) Click the three dots and then 'Copy direct link':

4) You can now paste the link and share it with your team members!

Commenting on public projects

If you want to leave a comment on a public project and you aren't part of that organization, you'll need to request access to become a viewer of that project.

Here's how you can do that:

1) Open up the public link of the project you want to comment on and click 'Comment':

2) Type in your name, email, and then click 'Request':

3) The request will then be sent to the owner of the project. Once they approve, you'll receive an email:

Disabling/enabling duplicating your shareable project

Who can use this feature? 🧙

  • Only if you have a Pro/Business/Enterprise subscription

  • If you're on a Free account, the duplicating project option will stay enabled for shareable projects

When you create a shareable project, anyone with the link can access it and view it! They can even duplicate your project so that they can use it themselves and edit it.

Here is how you can turn this feature on and off:

1) Open the project that you'd like to change the settings of and then click the "Share" button in the top-right corner:

2) Click 'Publish', as you'll need to publish your project before you can embed it:

3) Click 'Publish project':

4) Toggle the "Allow duplicating project" button on or off depending on your needs:

Unpublishing a project

If you decide that you'd no longer like to share a project publicly, here is how you can unpublish a project:

1) Click on the 'Share' button within the top-right menu:

2) Click on the 'Published' menu at the top:

3) Click on 'Unpublish project':

Publishing a project as a functional website or app

Unfortunately, it's not possible with the current version of Uizard.

As Uizard is a design and prototyping tool by nature, you are creating prototypes of apps and websites in Uizard, as you can imagine creating something on Powerpoint or Canva (just the look, but no code and therefore NOT with the full functions that connect to actually what an app and website can do).

You would still need to send this to a developer so they can attach code and logic to your design.

However, this doesn't mean you can't present your project to your peers. There are many great ways to share and export your Uizard projects.
