About previewing

The ability to preview your interactive project is one of the essential Uizard features, which ensures a great prototyping experience.

Setting a home screen

First, it's important to set up a home screen. The home screen will always be the first screen shown while previewing your interactive project (basically, a starting point of the interactive experience).

The home screen can be set as follows:
โ€‹
1) Select a screen you want to set as a home screen and right-click on it with your mouse.

2) Choose the 'Set as home screen' option:

1) Click the 'Preview' button in the top-right corner of your screen:

2) Click on interactive components in order to navigate within the screens in 'Preview mode':

Viewing a project overview in preview

There's a way to view your entire project in preview, similar to what you see in the editor! This is great if you want someone to have a holistic view of your project ๐Ÿ‘

Here's how:

1) Open your project and click "Preview" in the top-right corner of your project:

2) Click the "Overview" button in the top-center of your preview:

3) You can now view the entire project, zoom in and out, toggle interaction visibility on and off, and add and resolve notes:


Returning to home screen in preview

Click on the 'Go to home screen' button, which is located at the bottom of the 'Preview mode' screen:

Click on the 'Go back' button, which is located at the bottom of the 'Preview mode' screen:


FAQs

Can I reorder the screens of the project overview preview?

No, it's not possible to reorder the order of project overview screens at this time.

Can I preview my interactive prototype without an internet connection?

Uizard is only viewable in the browser at this time, so it's not possible to view it without an internet connection.

Can I change the size of the screens in the preview?

You can't change the size of the screens or device frames in the preview.

Can I view my screens in landscape mode in preview?

While you can view your project screens in landscape mode in preview if you designed the project to be in landscape mode, preview will not automatically change your screens from portrait to landscape. You'll have to adjust your design in the editor.
