In this guide, you'll be able to get familiar with the very basics of managing your projects in Uizard.

Creating a blank project

Most commonly, this method is used by users whose project layout requires a unique design solution.

You can start your project from scratch as follows:

1) Enter the Projects page (located on the left sidebar), then A) click ‘New blank project’ and choose the device type you'd like and get started right away or B) Click the "+" sign by "Projects":

2) If you click 'Projects', choose the device type of your project (web/tablet/mobile):

3) Find the 'Blank Project', hover your mouse cursor on it, and click 'Create':


Creating a project from a template

Creating a project from a template is the fastest way to get a fantastic headstart with your project 🚀


We'd highly recommend checking out our available templates and following these steps:

1) Enter the Projects page (located on the left sidebar), then A) Click ‘Start from template’, B) Click the "+" next to Projects, or C) Click "Templates":

2) Choose the device type of your project (web/tablet/mobile):

3) Use a search bar to find templates relevant to your project idea. Finally, hover your mouse cursor over the template you'd like to use and click 'Create':


Duplicating a project

1) Go to the Projects' page:

2) Click on the three vertical dots () on the upper right-hand side of the project you want to duplicate and click ‘Duplicate':


Renaming a project

1) Go to the Projects' page:

2) Click on the three vertical dots () on the upper right-hand side of the project you want to rename and click ‘Edit details’:

3) Change the project's name and click 'Save Changes':


Searching projects

If you find that you have a lot of projects to sort through to be able to find the one you're looking for, you can use the search feature:

1) Go to your 'Projects' page:

2) Find the search bar and type in the title or a phrase from the title. It will pull up any matches:

3) If you have multiple projects with similar titles, you can sort even further alphabetically, by oldest first, newest first, or last edited:


Deleting a project

1) Go to the Projects' page:

2) Click on the three vertical dots () on the upper right-hand side of the project you want to delete and choose the ‘Delete' option:

3) As a final confirmation of your intention to permanently delete your project, type in 'delete' and click on the 'Delete' button:


I accidentally deleted a project, can I get it back?

The current version of Uizard does not support an archive option. This means that deleted projects cannot be retrieved.

To avoid accidental deletions, Uizard has implemented a two-step project deletion process 🙏


FAQs

How do I save my project or progress?

Your project automatically saves, so there is no option to manually save.

Is there an option for a responsive design for my project?

There is no option for responsive design at this time. If you would like to see your project on a different device type, you'd need to create a new project 👍

Can I turn off the email notifications for my project?

There isn't a way to turn these notifications off at this time.

Can I copy/paste from my Uizard project to a different software?

No, there isn't a capability at this time to copy and paste between software.
